Batesville tradition rolls on

Batesville, In. — On Friday, September 8, Batesville Public School First Graders will be supporting their hometown football team by attending the game. This will be the 31st “Football Friday” making this a long-standing and popular Batesville Tradition.

Now there are parents of students who have participated in the tradition and have watched it progress over the years. First grade teacher Barb Hartman started the tradition back in 1987.

The team, cheerleaders and band members visited the students Thursday morning.
