BATESVILLE, Ind. — The City of Batesville will be holding the “Deck Your House” Contest.
Batesville resident Ryan Stauffer, 11, created the contest and encourages homeowners to display Christmas lights and be recognized for their efforts, as well as support the local food pantry.
In order to participate in the contest, you need to submit a photo of your home along with 5 canned goods or non-perishable items to the Memorial Building by noon on Wednesday, November 30.
To be eligible to participate, your home must be within the city limits, and visible from the street.
Participants will be announced on December 1 at the Batesville Tree Lighting, and voting will be open from December 1 through December 16 at 6 PM.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced on December 19.
