Batesville railroad crossings reopen after malfunctions

(Batesville, IN) – The railroad crossings at State Roads 129 and 46 and along Coonhunters Road in Batesville were shut down overnight because of malfunctions.

Central Railroad of Indiana owns the tracks and was notified of the problem, and motorists were directed by Batesville Police to find alternate routes.

The company sent crews to fix the issues and repairs were made overnight.

Both crossings reopened early Friday morning.
