Indianapolis, In. — Batesville Middle School principal David Strouse has been selected as the 2017 State Middle School Principal of the Year and District 10 Middle School Principal of the Year. The awards were announced at the IASP annual Fall Professional Conference in Indianapolis on Sunday.
District 10 is made up of Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Hancock, Jennings, Ripley, Rush, Shelby Union Counties.
The winner is elected by peers. One principal is honored in each of the 12 districts and one is honored as the state-level honoree.
Stouse will now represent Indiana at the National Association of Secondary Principals Recognition Program in the fall of 2018.
