BATESVILLE, Ind. – The Batesville Police Department released a monthly report of activity for September.
The agency received a total of 555 calls ranging from criminal activity to animal complaints, handgun permits and welfare checks.
Officers received 27 accident reports, 24 calls for suspicious activity and seven reports of a drunk driver or pedestrian.
There were 96 officer traffic stops last month.
38 offenses were filed as a result of arrests including eight intoxicated driving-related charges and five drug-related offenses.
There were also three offenses filed for theft, three for battery, and one documented as child abuse or neglect.
