The Batesville Middle School golf team opened their season at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club Thursday evening with a win
over Switzerland County 178 to 230.
The Bulldogs were led by match co-medalists Ian Hixson and Issac Weber, both shooting 39s. Brody Gibson and Stella Maple both shot a 50 to score for the Bulldogs.
Other top golfers for Batesville were Grace Saner (51), Cade Rienschield (52), Adelyne Koehne (53), Alexis Gallagher, and Eli Weber with 56s.
Liam Dahl, Beckett Jones, Stella Lecher, and Collin Vogelsang also competed in the 9-hole match. The Bulldogs are back in action against St. Louis next Monday at Hillcrest.
