Batesville, In. — A Friday crash on State Road 46 east of Batesville claimed the life a local man. Police say a car driven by Gerald Heppner, 79, of Batesville, left the roadway for an unknown reason at 3 p.m. and struck a parked vehicle in front of Enneking’s Autobody.
Heppner was transported to Margaret Mary Health where died later.
The Batesville Police Department, Indiana State Police, Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, Batesville Fire Department, Rescue 10 and Ripley County paramedics responded to the crash.
