Batesville Lions Club announces tree give away, donation drive

Batesville, In. — The Batesville Lions Club will give away 200 trees Saturday, April 27 in the Schmidt’s Bakery from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In celebration of Earth Day, club members are offering 100 Norway Spruce and 100 Hazelnut Trees, with a two tree limit.

Residents are encouraged to donate usable eyeglasses for children in Mexico. Usable hearing aids can be donated for distribution to Indiana residents. Residents can also donate canes, crutches, wheelchairs, hospital equipment, small electronics, cell phones and groceries for the (Batesville Area Ministerial Association) BAMA-supported Food Pantry.
