Batesville, In. — The SafeWise Report says Batesville and Lawrenceburg are two of the safest cities in the state. Lawrenceburg landed at 14 on the list while Batesville entered the list at 15. The report considered total population and used 2015 FBI crime data to develop the rankings.
The report says all 20 cities on list take a proactive approach to fight crime by establishing close ties between police and the community. The report cites neighborhood watch groups and crime prevention education programs as primary tools used by all 20 cities on the list.
