Batesville’s grapplers got a 42-39 win over Franklin County Tuesday. This was the Bulldogs first win over the Wildcats in nine seasons. Scoring pins for Batesville were Josh Mobley, Tacoma Nicholas, David Maher and Damien Dance.
Rushville Wrestling lost to New Castle 54-21. Pacey Dye got the Lions only non-forfeited victory with a 7-0 decision.

BHS Wrestling continued their season hosting EIAC Rivals Franklin County. Despite wrestling without 2 of their seniors the Bulldogs were able capitalize on filling 12 of the 14 weight classes with a 42-39 victory. This was Batesvilles first victory over Franklin county in 9 years.
The night started with Senior Josh Mobley bumping up to 170 to earn a pinfall victory. Chase Hamilton and Max Amberger received forfeits at 195 and 285 to combat the forfeits Franklin County received at 106 and 120. Sophomore Tacoma Nicholas made his season debut with a pinfall in a tough battle. Sophomore David Maher also pulled off a pin fall victory. Freshman Damien Dance came from behind to get a pin to set up the dual win. Junior Parker Glandon finished things off by receiving a forfeit to end the dual.
Other Bulldogs competing were Freshman Andrew Jones (182), Senior Christian Garcia (220), Sophomore Layne Phillips (113), Sophomore Conner Campbell (132), and Sophomore Mason Neeley (145). The bulldogs season record moves to 6-5 with a EIAC Record of 5-1. The Bulldogs will travel to East Central Saturday for their 6-way.

Not our best night for Lion Wrestling. Pacey Dye had our only win in a wrestled match. Zakk Reed, Tuff Tackett, and Carter Erwin all won from forfeits. Lots of illness has played a factor in attendance this week. We will be ready for the East Central 8 way tournament this Saturday.
