Even with challenging weather, the golf outing was a great success. It was so good to see so many former players, parents of players, and fans of BHS athletics. See below for results. Lleyton was the 2021 recipient of the Batesville Basketball Alumni Award which includes $500 to use for any essentials as he heads forward in life.
Special thank you to Terry Giesting and Andy Saner for their efforts to make this event happen. We are looking for other former players to help with future outings and events. It is a labor of love and we would welcome more hands. Erin Meyer, Class of 1990, was at a Freudenfst event this weekend and introduced himself to me. It was a pleasure to meet Erin and I always welcome alumni to please introduce themselves to me when there is an opportunity. This is your program and I take great pride in serving the program for all of those that have come before.
Finally, to those of you that played and/or sponsored the event, I thank you on behalf of the current players in the program. All monies are utilized to help the current players from snacks between school and practice, to help with meals, to the Alumni Award, and towards bigger purchases when needed for the program.
