The Batesville boys tennis team advanced to 5-1 (2-1 in the EIAC) after a 4-1 victory at Franklin County Tuesday.
BHS coach Mitchell Taylor reported Jaden Smith at 2 Singles and Lyle Oesterling at 3 Singles both won in straight sets to earn the first two points for Batesville. The 1 Doubles team of Cole Pride and Jackson Tracy and the 2 Doubles team of Alec Bunselmeier and Sam Johnson gave the Bulldogs their third and fourth points with straight set wins.
“Batesville’s Cael Rahe battled in a hard fought match against Franklin County’s Jack Stirn,” added Taylor. “Rahe ultimately fell in straight sets to FC’s 1 Singles player.”
