The Batesville boy’s 8th-grade basketball team hosted the Connersville Spartans Monday night. The Bulldogs came away with a 41 to 33 victory. The Dogs jumped out to a 14 to 6 1st quarter lead only to see the Spartans pull within 2 points at half by the score of 19 to 17. In the second half, the Bulldogs outscored the Spartans by a score of 22 to 16. The win brings the team’s record on the season to 7 wins and 1 loss. Scoring for the Bulldogs were James Hughes with 10 points, Braydin Hughes with 9, Carson Hartley with 8, Caleb Laker with 7, Kamryn Holcomb with 5, and Cole Abrams with 2.
The Bulldogs next travel to North Decatur tomorrow night, Tuesday, November 29th.
