Batesville announces Trick-or-Treat hours

Batesville, IN — The City of Batesville has announced that Trick-or-Treat hours will be from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, October 31st. There are, however, some changes this year.

The American Legion will not be hosting the annual Halloween parade this year. The City reminds residents in Batesville that the CDC has listed trick-or-treating as a high-risk activity and would like residents to scale back and limit the activity to your local neighborhood. Mayor Bettice suggests finding a way to use a table to provide an appropriate spacing or to just leave the candy out for kids to take.

Other area Halloween activities kids can participate in, if uncomfortable trick-or-treating include, The Great Pumpkin Walk at the Batesville Memorial Library on Friday, October 23rd from 5 to 8 pm; Webfest at Weberding Carving Shop on Saturday, October 24th from 10 am to 2 pm; Trunk-or-Treat at the Batesville Intermediate School on Thursday, October 29th from 4:30 to 6:30; or visiting Vogt Farm any weekend in October.
