The Batesville boys 8th grade team hosted the South Dearborn Middle School Knights on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs lost a hard fought game by the score of 48-43. The Dogs started off hot with a score of 17 to 10 at the end of the first quarter. The Knights were able to close that lead to 25-23 at half. A slow start and a few untimely turnovers cost the Bulldogs the lead in the third quarter as the Knights took a lead by the score of 35 to 30. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring for the game were Carson Hartley with 15 points, Kamryn Holcomb 10, James Hughes 5, Braydin Hughes 4, Caleb Laker 4, and Cole Abrams 3. The loss brings the Bulldogs season record to 12 wins and 3 losses. The Bulldogs will be back in action this Thursday Dec. 15th as they travel to Milan.
