BATESVILLE, Ind. — A study released by Smart Asset has ranked Batesville the number 2 place in the state of Indiana to retire.
SmartAsset gathered data on three separate regional factors that affect the quality of life for retirees. They first looked at state and local tax rates.
Next, they determined the number of doctors’ offices, recreation centers, and retirement centers per thousand residents in each area.
And finally, they found the number of seniors in each area as a percentage of the total population.
Munster in Lake County in Northwest Indiana was named the Number 1 place to retire.
