Barbara Rose Wenning, 79, of Batesville, passed away on August 27th, 2025, at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Barb was born on June 7th, 1946, the daughter of Nicholas and Emily (Nee:Rogers) Fasbinder. Barb married Don Wenning on June 19th, 2004 and he preceded her in death on May 23rd, 2021.
Barb worked as an assistant chef and pastry chef for many years at The Sherman House. She retired from full-time work but still worked part-time at Ertel Cellars Winery up until her passing. Barb lived a life full of love and laughter, she truly loved people and it showed. She enjoyed the Milan Legion Treasure Hunt where her and friends bonded over tater tots and a hope to win some money. Her Friday nights were spent enjoying an amaretto sour at the Knights of Columbus, and Saturday mornings she could be found with friends eating breakfast at the Hobo Hut, Blanco’s or Liberty Park. Barb was proud of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they held a very special place in her heart. She attended many school events, invited Santa Claus over at Christmas, and was a taxi driver as needed.
Barb is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Todd) Dickman, brother Bill (Rudy) Fasbinder, sister Patricia (Arnold) Werner, grandchildren: Tasha (David), Tanner, Jackson, Kendall and Sidney; great-grandchildren: Gavin, Leilan, Izzy, and David, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five siblings, and daughter, Stacie.
