Barbara R. Schwartz

Barbara R. Schwartz, age 3, of Fairview, Indiana, entered this life on October 4, 2022 in Florence, Kentucky. She was the beloved daughter of Rudy S. and Carolyn H. (Schwartz) Schwartz. Barbara was raised in Fairview, Indiana and was of the Old Order Amish faith. Surrounded by love, Barbara passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms and went to be with Jesus at 4:45 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her residence.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her parents; her brothers and sister, Leroy, Sylvia, and Reuben Schwartz of Fairview, IN; her paternal-grandparents, Wilmer and Mary (Schwartz) Schwartz of Fairview, IN; her maternal-grandparents, Henry and Barbara (Miller) Schwartz of Salem, AR; her maternal-great-grandparent, Clara (Lambright) Miller of Marion, WI; and her 10 aunts, 7 uncles, 50 cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal-great-grandparents, Mose Miller; her maternal-great-grandparents, Menno Schwartz, Jr. and Lizzie (Mast) Schwartz; her maternal-step-grandparent, Menno Hochstetler; her paternal-great-grandparents, Amos and Edna (Christner) Schwartz and Uriah and Mattie Marie (Miller) Schwartz; her paternal-step-grandparent, Eldon Ropp; her aunts, Lizzie and Anna Mae Schwartz; and her cousin, Effie Mae Schwartz.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Schwartz Residence, 11969 Fairview Road, Bennington, Indiana 47011.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Schwartz Residence, 11969 Fairview Road, Bennington, Indiana 47011.

Interment will follow in the Old Order Amish Cemetery on Shaw Hallow Road near Pleasant, Indiana.

Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Schwartz residence. All are welcome to join the family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time, and especially to the nurses of Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, who lovingly cared for Barbara for nearly a year.
