Muncie, IN—Ball State University recently released an updated quality-of-life report for all of Indiana’s 92 counties. Using publicly available data, researchers ranked each county under seven major categories that included people, health of human capital/workforce, education of human capital/ workforce, government impact and economy, arts/entertainment/recreation, changeable and static public amenities.
Researchers also released a “housing barometer” tool for each county based on a county’s home prices relative to the state and growth. The housing barometer evaluates county housing markets using county-wide home values and the relative growth rate over the last eight years. Each county is categorized as growing, warning, distressed, and recovering housing markets.
