BAAC delivers Project 229 financial report

Batesville, In. — The Batesville Area Arts Council delivered the Project 229 financial report to city council members. Project 229 is a coffee table, photographic chronicle of the Batesville/Oldenburg area. Last year, city council members allocated about $10,000 in Belterra funds for the project.

The report says the group has a current profit of about $20,000 and there are approximately 500 books left to sell. If all are sold at the retail price of $34, there could be another $20,000 in profit for the project.

All profits from the project will be used to fund the next Project 229 endeavor.

The book is available for purchase at the Batesville Chamber of Commerce, Bird in a Tree, Schwestern Gallery and Carriage House Antiques. Soon the books will be available for purchase at the Batesville Kroger store and at the Freudenfest in July.
