Autopsy complete on man shot during altercation

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — An autopsy was completed yesterday on Justin Holland, 25, of Moores Hill.

Holland was shot by a citizen after he resisted an Indiana Conservation Officer and began to overtake the officer while engaged in a physical altercation with him.

Holland later died at the Dearborn County Hospital.

A preliminary result of the autopsy indicated that Holland’s cause of death was likely as a result of a single gunshot wound.

The final pathologist’s report and toxicology reports are still pending.

State Police also say that Holland was 25, not 32 as they originally released.
