Aurora man charged with meth dealing

Lawrenceburg, In.— An Aurora man has been arrested on charges of dealing and possessing methamphetamine.

Robert Lockwood, 34 of Aurora is charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, a Level 3 Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine at least 5 grams but less than 10 grams, a Level 5 Felony and Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony.

According to Court documents, two police officers were working with a confidential informant and conducted a controlled buy of methamphetamine from Lockwood on March 12, 2019.

Then, on March 15, 2019, Aurora Police Officers noticed Lockwood driving a vehicle on US 50 and recognized him from previous encounters. Officers believed that Lockwood’s driving privileges were suspended, which was confirmed through dispatch.  A traffic stop was made and a subsequent search of his vehicle, officers located a glass pipe in plain view on the front passenger seat, a sunglasses case containing another glass pipe with a white residue and burn marks on it, a small blue bag containing 2 small digital scales, unused baggies and one baggie containing a crystal-like substance which officers recognized as methamphetamine.

Lockwood was arrested and taken to the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
