Arthur Allen, age 90, Osgood

Arthur Allen, age 90, of Osgood passed away on April 30 at Manderley Health Care. Arthur was born on February 12, 1929 in the Sunman area the son of the late Aaron and Irene (Lauber) Allen. He grew up in the area and was a graduate of Napoleon High School.
After high school, Arthur joined the United States Army and proudly served his country going into the service. Arthur was 1 of 7 Ripley Count boys that left on January 26, 1951 and did basic training at Breckenridge Kentucky and then went to Germany. After his years in the service, he returned home to the Ripley County area and started his family. He was blessed with two children. He spent 36 years working at Seagram’s.
He is survived by daughter Tammy (Chris) Dilk of Osgood, son Mike (Diana) Allen of Evansville, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and brother Gene Allen of Knightstown. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 from 10-11 am. at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood, funeral services will be held at 11 am., followed by burial at St Paul Lutheran Cemetery north of Milan. All services will be held at Neal’s Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Our Hospice in care of the funeral home.
