Area Baseball Players Receive Postseason Honors

Several local high school baseball players have received postseason statewide honors.

Recent Batesville High School grad and Notre Dame commit Will Jaisle has been named to the 2025 Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) 3A All-State Team.

Jaisle, who is a pitcher, joins Joe Hartman, Bryan Hoeing, and Zach Britton as the only players in Batesville Baseball history to be voted first team all-state.

The honor is voted on by coaches across the state.

Jaisle was also named to the Indiana Prep Baseball Report’s 3A All-State Team.

In addition, North Decatur incoming sophomore pitcher was named to the website’s 1A All-State Team.

Carson Schneider from Batesville and East Central’s Matthew Roy were named academic all-state by IHSBCA.

To be Academic All-State, a player must have been a senior during the 2025 season and play in 70 percent of his team’s games. If the player is the school’s valedictorian or salutatorian, they automatically make the all-academic team, otherwise the player must qualify with a score of eight on the academic formula that takes into account player’s GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
