(Greensburg, IN) – With Halloween just a month away, get into the spooky spirit with interesting facts about cemeteries.
Cathy L. Draeger-Williams, senior archaeologist with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, will present “Researching the Grave Past” on Wednesday, September 10 at 4 p.m. at the Greensburg/Decatur County Public Library.
She will discuss the modern and historical connections cemeteries form and the insight they provide us into our ancestors.
From honoring loved ones and connections to our past, to the modern protection and insights gathered from cemeteries, Draeger-Williams will discuss the value and importance of cemeteries both in today’s world and in the past.
“Archaeology of Indiana with Archaeologist Cathy L. Draeger-Williams” is open to the public, but registration is required.
