Lawrenceburg, In. — Officials from the Indiana Department of Transportation say a bridge deck overlay will begin on or after April 1 on I-275 in the Lawrenceburg area. The bridges span the Action Lane overpass north of Bellview Drive.
North Vernon-based Dave O’Mara Contractor will hydro-demolish the current 3-span 146-foot long twin bridges. The decks will be resurfaced with a 2 ½ concrete overlay.
The work has an estimated value of $ 1,744,288 and has a completion date of October 31, 2019.
Traffic will be restricted to a single lane on both northbound and southbound I-275 bridges. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
That portion of I-275 has a traffic count of 16,110 vehicles per day.
