Anthony C. Hilbert – St. Leon

Anthony C. Hilbert, of St. Leon, Indiana, was born on October 1, 1936 in St. Leon, a son to Irwin and Edna Feller (nee Stenger) Hilbert.  He married Georgiana Hornberger on June 28, 1958 at St. Peters Church and together they raised four children.  Anthony was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was a welder at Hillenbrand Industries – casket division for over 40 years and enjoyed farming.  In his spare time he liked watching westerns on T.V.  On Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the age of 82, Anthony passed away at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. 

 

Those surviving who will cherish Anthony’s memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Georgiana Hilbert; children, Roseann (Mark) Wirth of Napoleon, Diane (Dave) McConnell of St. Leon, Wanda (Kevin) Alig of St. Leon, and Wilbur Hilbert of St. Leon; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Feller of Harrison, OH, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony Charles Hilbert; son-in-law, Tim Doll; sister, Margaret Weldishofer, and three brothers, Leroy, Cornelius and George Feller. 

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Campus Church, St. Leon.  Rev. Jonathan Meyer will officiate a Mass of Christian burial at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
