(Decatur County, IN) – The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office says there have been more fraud attempts reported in the county.
Someone identifying himself as Sgt. Gary Miller with the warrant and citation division of the sheriff’s office tries to obtain information from residents by saying there is a failure to appear warrant out for them because they missed a federal grand jury date.
Deputies say the scammer asks for personal information or requests payment for the arrest warrant.
