Anita F. Davis

Anita F. Davis, 87, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Edgewood, Kentucky.

She was born April 19, 1938, in Boone County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Herbert Parish and Clara Webster.

Anita worked as the manager of Durbin Bowl for many years.

She was a board member of the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Association, served as President of the Manchester PTA, and was a Den Mother with the Boy Scouts of America.

Anita started a youth bowling league at Durbin Bowl and coached a youth softball team. She loved gardening, canning, and all sports. Anita also enjoyed crocheting and lovingly made blankets for all the children and grandchildren. She adored her dog, Teddy, and loved traveling to Tennessee. Her family was her greatest joy.

Anita is survived by her sons, Stanley H. Davis Jr. (Dianne), Michael W. Davis, and Steven L. Davis (Mary); daughters, Deborah Tarplee, Cynthia Zoller (Jeff), and Kathleen Ickenroth (Brian); grandchildren, Zachary, Brittany, Bridget (Cameron), Derek (Anna), Mathew (Shawna), Sophia, Samantha, Rebecca, Kaitlyn (Daniel), Kelsey, Carson (Skyler), Kayla, Braden, Kara (Aaron), Jack (Isabella), and Jill ; great-grandchildren, Alexie, Breckin, Maggie, Blaire, Ezra, Dax, Ben, Collin, and Francis; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bear and Margie Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley H. Davis Sr.; her parents; her sisters, Betty Garrison and Anna Mae Savage; and her brother, Herbert Parish Jr.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family, with interment at Mt. Sinai Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Manchester Life Squad or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
