All area counties are now in Yellow on the state’s COVID metrics map

SOUTHEASTERN IN — All four area counties are in Yellow on the state’s COVID-19 metrics map.

Decatur and Dearborn counties moved from Orange to Yellow after achieving a Weekly 2-Metric Score of 1.

Ripley and Franklin counties moved to Yellow in previous weeks.

The number of confirmed cases continues to trend in the right direction.

According to numbers released by the Indiana Department of Health on Wednesday, Decatur County had five positive cases; Dearborn County reported four; Franklin County had two positives, and Ripley County did not have any new cases but two virus-related deaths were reported.

Statewide, there were 452 confirmed cases and 47 deaths.

Indiana’s seven-day positivity rate has dipped to 5.5 percent.
