Afghan refugees being vaccinated for measles, other diseases

CAMP ATTERBURY, IN — Indiana National Guard commanders say doctors and nurses have been vaccinating Afghan refugees at Camp Atterbury against not just the coronavirus but also measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox.

Medical teams distributed MMR shots last month.

There are over 6,000 Afghans at the base near Edinburgh, but it’s not clear how many of the evacuees have been vaccinated.
