Adam Dean Shump, 65, of Batesville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1960 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Norma (Dubois) Shump.
He was an electrical engineer known for his practical skill and steady nature. Outside of work, he loved fishing on quiet mornings, camping with family and friends, and golfing with his son. He loved animals especially his buddy, Rolo. He loved the holidays and enjoyed spending them with family. He served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1980 to 1988.
Adam is survived by his loving partner, Tammy; son: Joshua Shump; daughter, Stephanie Shump; grandchild, Aubrey Rubio; and siblings: Cheryl Morse Zahner, Darlene, Polly Popovich, Jill (Rex) Ramey, and Neal Shump.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Frank.
Memorial services will be held privately at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
