Sophomore Jacoby Miller found the net twice after halftime to push the Greensburg boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Oldenburg Academy Thursday night. The Pirates had not been on the pitch in nearly two weeks, playing last in an 8-0 win against Union County. The first half played as a defensive battle. Both teams saw plenty of scoring chances early in the match, but the first half ended scoreless. Early in the second half, Miller scored his first goal on an assist from his brother Cy to give the Pirates the lead. Oldenburg answered to even the score at 1-1. Miller then scored on a free kick from beyond midfield to the Pirates ahead for good. The Pirate defense shut down the Twisters for the remainder of the game to give the Pirates the 2-1 victory. The Pirates (3-1, 1-0 EIAC) play four games next week, beginning with a home match against Southwestern on Monday at 5 p.m.
