Greensburg Schools Launch Regional Virtual School

(Greensburg, IN) – The Greensburg Community School Corporation (GCSC) is pleased to announce a new regional learning option for students who desire a flexible, online environment.

The Greensburg Jr/Sr. High School Virtual School is a tuition-free, fully-accredited online public school available to all Indiana students in grades 6-12.

Enrollment is now beginning as students will have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and explore different career pathways from the comfort of their home.

“While we continue to fully embrace the traditional in-person experience, we also want to provide options and flexibility for those who thrive in a remote setting. Our goal is to help each Greensburg student achieve their full potential,” said Greensburg Community School Corporation Superintendent Tom Hunter.

Earning a high school diploma from the Greensburg Jr/Sr. High School Virtual School is the exact same as the diploma earned by students who attend Greensburg Community High School. Online graduates will also have the opportunity to attend the graduation ceremony at Greensburg Community High School.

With more than 20 career pathways, ranging from nursing to welding, our graduates are positioned to thrive in post-secondary education, the workforce or military.

Students will receive live instruction from licensed Indiana educators using the Indiana Online curriculum.

Each student will also have a Chromebook provided by the school.

“This initiative is not only for students who live in Greensburg, or Decatur County for that matter. To be eligible, a student just has to live in Indiana. We encourage students and their parents to explore the opportunities offered here at Greensburg Schools both in-person as well as virtually,” Hunter added.
