The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its third annual Arbor Day tree give away and food drive on Thurs., April 24, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Over 600 seedlings will be available on a first come basis at the office with a limit of five trees per person.
A variety of trees are available, including: white oak, shagbark hickory, pecan, white pine and Norway spruce. Additionally, there will be several species of small tree and shrub seedlings: flowering dogwood, redbud and hazelnut.
Bring a canned food items in exchange for the free trees. Items will be donated to the SEIOC food pantry in Brookville.
