Price, Bruce

Bruce Richard Price, 73 years old of Bright, IN passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. A native of Cincinnati, Bruce earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University and took on the role of Shop Teacher at Harrison High School. Switching careers, Bruce became a steel worker for Nucor Steel. The fellowship and camaraderie he felt amongst his co-workers was something he always treasured. Mr. Fix-It was the perfect nickname for Bruce as he could fix or build just about anything. From racecars to houses, Bruce was the man for the job. He didn’t rest often because he was busy helping others out, but when he did you could find him at his favorite spot, the backyard pool.

It was his strong work ethic that Bruce passed along to his boys. They saw him work hard and many overtime hours so that Debbie could stay home to raise them. They saw him miss countless hours of sleep to ensure that he made it to all their games. Bruce also modeled how to love and take care of their own families. As Pop Pop, his world revolved around his three grandchildren. It was just this week that he and Debbie drove 1 ½ hours to visit Jack & Cassidy’s science fair, and what a blessing that last visit turned out to be. Wilder is now old enough to walk so chasing him was always an adventure. Bruce and his family took many vacations to Lake Erie where he and Casey would fish and Debbie and Tom would be their moral support. It was probably during these fishing trips that Bruce learned what fish were thinking and he enjoyed sharing this knowledge with his grandchildren.

Bruce will be deeply missed by his high school sweetheart and wife of 51 years, Debbie; his sons Casey (Rita) Price and Thomas (Sarah) Price; grandchildren Jack, Cassidy, and Wilder; his mother Alda (Prine) and sister Jackie White. He is preceded in death by his father Jack Price and sister Judy Arnett.

In honoring Bruce’s wishes, the family is not holding a service, but send appreciation for all the love and support you have shown. Family and friends are encouraged to leave condolences at www.andres-wuestefeldfh.com.
