(Dearborn County, IN) – The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office is out with a warning about a nationwide scam that is making its way around the area.
Deputies say if you receive a text claiming you have unpaid tolls, do not click on the link.
Instead, you’re urged to report the message as spam and delete it from your phone.
Authorities say the Toll Office will mail you a notice with the amount of your unpaid toll with a picture of your vehicle and license plate information.
