(Statewide) – Many Hoosiers may see their energy bills go up soon.
Duke Energy had asked state regulators for a rate hike in April of last year.
In an order from the state released this week, they have been given permission to raise their energy rates, but well short of what Duke Energy had been initially looking for.
They originally asked for an increase of about 27-bucks a month per customer.
Duke Energy says they are reviewing the order from state regulators before they make a final decision on whether to raise your energy rates.
