Tyler Rodgers

Stevan Tyler Rodgers, 33 years old of West Harrison, IN passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. As a student at East Central High School, Tyler fell in love with a girl in his accounting class. Always teasing that she should check her answers against his, she pressed on to become an accountant and he pursued the family craft of installing and refinishing hardwood floors. Tyler married his high school sweetheart from accounting class, Emily Vogt, on October 13, 2018 and have two beautiful baby girls, Gemma and Luna Belle. Tyler and Emily were inseparable from the time the met; they grew up together and meant the world to each other. As a family they would travel to Gulf Shores every October and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Tyler was also a self-proclaimed momma’s boy and very close with his family. His love of woodworking, particularly of hardwood floors, came from his father and grandfather. They taught him the beauty of wood at a young age and by four years old he had an edger in his hands. Tyler was proud of his work and how he could transform and beautify someone’s home by installing or refinishing their wood floors.

Tyler loved to fish, bowl, and camp. He taught his girls how to cast their lines and he was beyond proud of how good they were at it. Tyler also enjoyed reading and collecting books with one of his favorites being The Hobbit. His passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers was intense and everyone in his circle knew of his loyalty and devotion to the Terrible Towel.

Tyler will be deeply missed by Emily, his wife of six years, and his daughters, Gemma & Luna; parents Roselle (Steve) McClure and Roy (Casey) Rodgers; siblings Justin Rodgers, Cody McClure, Brandon McClure, Jordan Garcia, Trenton Huff, and Gracie Rodgers; grandpa Stevan Miodrag; grandma V. June Rodgers; nieces Mia, Paisley, and Mackenna; and everyone from Amy’s side that loved him so much including her sisters, father, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by grandma Catherine Walters Miodrag, grandpa Roy E. Rodgers, and mother-in-law Amy Bulach Kurelic.
