OA boys soccer hosted Connersville on Thursday, September 26 at the Graveyard. The game was a hard-fought matchup between the Class 1A 11th-ranked Twisters and the 2A Spartans which are one of the top teams in the EIAC. Connersville opened the scoring in the first period with a shot from Kaden Mapes off of a rebound at 34:03. The Twisters would tie the game soon after on a shot from Conner Holder assisted by Hayden Blair and Christian Mack.
In the second half, OA took the lead at 32:15 with Hayden Blair putting the ball in the net on a pass from Conner Holder. The action went back and forth for most of the second half. The Spartans put the final score on the board at 12:12 on a shot from Mitchell Steele for a 2-2 final score.
OA next travels to Centerville on Tuesday, October 1 for a 5:30 pm match.
