The Twisters hosted the Pirates at the Graveyard on Thursday, September 5. In a tough match where the Twisters managed to out-shoot the Pirates 20-19, they couldn’t convert enough opportunities in a 2-1 loss. The game was scoreless in the first half. Greensburg’s Jacoby Miller opened the scoring at 28:07 in the second period on a shot from the 6. Conner Holder tied the game on a breakaway shot from the 18 at 23:58. The final score of the game for Greensburg was Miller again on a 60-yard boot at 16:12.
In the JV match, the teams played to a 0-0 tie with both the Twisters and Pirates taking 6 shots on goal.
The Twisters next host Hauser at 10 am on Saturday, September 7 at the Graveyard.
