(Southeastern IN) – A Heat Advisory goes into effect at Noon today and runs through 8:00 tonight.
The National Weather Service says heat index values of 101 are expected.
The hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illnesses.
Forecasters say you should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
You’re also advised to take extra precautions when outside such as wearing lightweight and loose fitting clothing.
You should also try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
