Auction Being Held to Offset Pickleball Swindler’s Debts

(Brookville, IN) – An online auction started Monday as part of an effort to offset the debts of a Brookville man accused of swindling pickleball players out of millions of dollars.

The auction run by Christy’s of Indiana has pickleball equipment spread out over a 7,000-square-foot warehouse.

Among the items up for grabs – 3,200 paddles.

Back in February, a group of investors in the defunct Pickleball Rocks business venture successfully convinced a federal judge in Indianapolis to force Rodney Grubbs into bankruptcy.

The order required Grubbs to produce a list of his investors and how much he owed them.

Grubbs’ total debt is estimated around $47 million.
