(Versailles, IN) – A Versailles man has been sentenced in Ripley County to nine years in prison with three suspended to probation for sexually assaulting an underage girl.
36-year-old Aaron Hoeferkamp pleaded guilty in November to Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (Level 4 felony).
He was scheduled to go on trial in December in Ripley Circuit Court.
Investigators say Hoeferkamp assaulted the girl on multiple occasions, and that DNA linked him to the crimes.
Court documents indicate, in handing down the six-year prison sentence plus three on probation, Judge Ryan King took into consideration Hoeferkamp’s lengthy criminal history and that he violated a position of trust.
