Thursday evening the North Decatur girls golf team faced Knightstown and Franklin County at North Branch on Meadow. Franklin County won the match with a team score of 169 led by meet medalist Nicole with 38. The Chargers finished 2nd with a new team low of 214. Knightstown also competed but did not have enough golfers to have a team score.
The varsity team was led by Addie Gauck with a score of 47. Kaylee Smith (54), Mary Stier (56), and Hannah Reynolds (57) added to the team score and each set a new season low. Lizzie Custer also played varsity and had a score of 60.
Several golfers also played JV Thursday evening including Jaylynne Krahn who set a new season low of 62. Ellie Grote (64), Kail’C Ruble (66), and Chase Christianson (62) also played.
Next up the Chargers face Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley at North Branch on Friday 9/1.
