Milan varsity softball took the lead late in a 4-3 victory over Switzerland County on Monday. The winning run came in the fifth when Kynadee Bode hit a solo home run.
Bode got the win on the mound for Milan, giving up three runs on two hits over seven innings while striking out 4.
Emily Oatman went six innings for Switzerland County, striking out five while allowing 12 hits and four runs.
Milan finished with 12 hits in the game Mallory Eaglin, Bode, Chloe Hunter, and Tryniti Reed each racked up multiple hits for the Indians.
