No one injured in trailer fire; Milan fire chief puts out call for volunteers

Milan, IN — No one was injured in a trailer fire on Wood Street in Milan last Friday.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.

The vacant trailer is listed as a total loss due to extensive smoke damage.

The Milan Fire Department received assistance from Sunman and Delaware Township.

Milan Fire Chief Alex Hooker expressed thanks to the departments that provided mutual aid.

In a statement to WRBI, Chief Hooker says with all local fire departments dealing with staffing shortages, everyone relies on each other.

He added if you are interested in volunteering, you’re urged to contact your local volunteer fire department.
