Southeastern IN — Most of Southeastern Indiana remains in a drought.
That’s according to a map released on Thursday by the US Drought Monitor.
The map continues to show all of Ripley, Franklin, and Dearborn counties and most of Decatur County in a moderate drought.
Northwestern Decatur County is considered abnormally dry on the map.
As a result of rain that fell on the area last weekend, Franklin County Commissioners this week rescinded a burn ban that was previously issued because of wildfire risks caused by dry and windy conditions.
