INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Students at Batesville and Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools are taking advantage of the Indiana Department of Education’s “Crossing the Finish Line” initiative.
Both local school corporations are among the top five schools with the highest enrollment numbers in the program.
Munster, Elkhart, and Hobart are the other schools in the top five.
Students can use the program to complete their high-credential, technical certificates, or other long and short-term credentials for free this summer.
The initiative provides free books and tuition at Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University for students who are a few credits away from completing their credentials.
