H.S. baseball recaps from Wednesday, April 20

The following are high school baseball recaps from Wednesday, April 20.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

North Decatur shut out Edinburgh 2-0.

Jake Mirick and Brayden Hancock combined on a three-hitter for the Chargers.  Mirick went six innings with four strikeouts and a walk for the win.  Hancock pitched the seventh with one K for the save.

ND was also limited to just three hits.  Nate O’Dell scored one of the team’s two runs and had the club’s only RBI.

Oldenburg lost a 6-3 decision at home to Lawrenceburg.  All three OA runs came in the first frame.   Jacob Hoff, Cy Muckerhide and Tyler Wuestefeld had the Twister hits.

Devin Fluhmann pitched 6-2/3 innings to get the win for the Tigers.  He struck out five and walked none.  At the plate, Fluhmann posted three hits with a double and an RBI.

South Decatur fell 6-3 to Shawe in Westport.

The Cougars Evan Wullenweber had three hits while teammates Cameron Henderson and Dale Peters had two apiece.  Peters also batted in a run.

The Toppers got three hits from Wyatt Nichter and two each from Philip Kahn, Christian Whitham, Casey Hill and Jacob Hertz.  Nichter, Hill and Whitham all had an RBI.  Nichter pitched a complete game, struck out nine and walked one.
